Child Safety
Our Commitment
Stonnington City Netball Association is a Child Safe Organisation. We commit to providing a safe environment for children in netball and we follow the principles and benchmarks Netball Victoria has in place.
Our Association agrees to comply with the Child Safety Standards through the Child Safety in Netball Code of Conduct and the Child Safety in Netball Policy. All players, coaches, officials and spectators who are registered with us agree, at the point of registration, to comply with these Child Safety Standards.
The first step of the Child Safety policy requires that all individuals 18 years of age or older, who are in positions of responsibility where they have any interaction with junior members 17 years of age and younger, must have an approved Victorian Working With Children Check. These positions include Coaches, Team Managers, Umpires, Committee Members and Competition Staff.

Netball Victoria’s Commitment to Child Safety
Every person in the netball community has a responsibility to understand their role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people in our care.
Netball Victoria is committed to promoting and protecting the rights of children and preventing abuse from occurring by fostering a culture where children feel safe and empowered.
We also seek to ensure the cultural safety of First Nations children, children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds and children with a disability.
